People who ever had the G15 logitech keyboard will have loved it.. I loved mine so much I didn't want to trow it away! I want it to last forever
So my question was, can I use the display to make a cool and cheap mod for my PC?
So, what do I have?
-Broken G15 logitech keyboard
-Some old disk drives
What do I need?
-Some electrical wires
-some more electrical equipment and a pincer
-sleeves and/or antistatical tape
First I started taken apart everything to look what I could do to make it a front display
Then i had to glue a wire from the USB to the controller board because it use to be placed onto the keyboard and screwed in there, glue works just fine.
Heres some pictures testing if this stuff still worked, and it gave me this briliant plan
I could use the key lighting to light up my case! Pics from this folow later.
I stil want the buttons to work + I want to see my num lock, caps lock ,..
So I also cut this out from my old keyboard frame and attach it to a metal plate that I cut out in the right size, and I test if it fits:
Paint it and voila! (pictues don't look as nice as it really is.. but oh well! For me this is perfect and I love it!)
Now adding all the wiring and so.. had to make some wires longer to fit in:
And it works! (I used the normal USB cable and put it in the back of my pc via the water cooling holes.. don't have it so, make the holes usefull :p)
