I am upgrading from the X58 platform to Haswell.

i have this board coming in...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131976

my question is on the SATA ports..which ports should i connect my 120gb sataIII,and my 80gb sataII (for games)SSD's to.

this board has the Intel ports and the Asmedia ports. I want the fastest ports for my SSD's.

i was very disappointed with my ASUS X58 board, and that stupid Marvel controller..my read and write speeds were crappy to say the least, because it didn't support SATAIII natively.

at this point i am unsure which ports to connect my SSD's to..could use some help here..thanx.

The Intel ports are tied directly to the chipset. If we looked at http://images.anandtech.com/doci/6989/I ... iagram.png and pretended everyone else follows this route, this means any extra SATA 6Gbps port is sharing a measly PCI-Express lane with the other peripherals.
