Hi guys, nice to meet you all!
I have an important question on which I can't find a clear answer anywhere.
I have an ASUS M2N-E motherboard. I think PCI EXPRESS slots are 1.0 (please confirm this information, are they 1.1? 2.0?)
Anyway I have bought an SSD which I would like to run at full speed. The motherboard SATA slots are 2.0 (please, again, confirm this information), so I have bought a PCI EXPRESS expansion card (ASMEDIA 106X).
This card is SATA3, but relies on a PCI EXPRESS x1 connection (BUT it's capable of PCI EXPRESS 2.0 standard!).
CAN I CONNECT IT TO A PCI EXPRESS 1.0 SLOT (BUT 4X) AND USE IT'S FULL PCI 2.0 SPEED?

I attach a screenshot downloaded from the internet where you can see the PCI EXPRESS 2.0 capability; my own screen shows 1.0 instead of 2.0.

ADDITIONAL QUESTION: HOW DO I ACCESS BIOS SETTINGS FOR THE ASMEDIA 106X CARD (PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS FOR MY OWN MOTHERBOARD)?

Thank you very much in advance, guys, you are my last hope

As for the card, no. Plugging a PCI Express 2.0 card into a 1.0 slot halves its speed regardless. The length of the connector indicates the number of lanes it has. The shorter the connector, the less lanes, and the less bandwidth you get.
