I really like the idea of having a small computer but i don't know if i should get a microATX board. Are the boards just as powerful? Do they cost more or less than a regular ATX board?

i have a build that uses a regular board: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/EricM88/saved/24Me
i like the price but would take suggestion to make it cheaper but still as powerful.

i was looking at this case for a microATX board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163237
are there better/cheaper cases out there? i like the simple black design.

what board should i use with my current build?

Most microATX motherboards are just as powerful as ATX boards and can run high end CPU's, use fast ram etc... they just have less bells and whistles than their larger cousins. Less ram and PCI slots also means they will cost less but you'll have less scope to upgrade at a later date.

The only thing I would be weary of is air flow in the smaller factor cases. If your building a gaming rig and you're using higher end components, they produce a lot of heat so you are going to need good air flow.
