Hi all,

I am planning on building a new computer here soon and was looking for some input on it.

The things I use my computer for:
-Revit/AutoCAD Drafting (Not super heavy)
-3D Modeling/Rendering (Not super heavy)
-World of Warcraft
-Call of Duty
-Battlefield

I also want provisions in the build to be able to add another 760 down the line if I want too. Another important thing to note is that I do play games in eyefinity quite often with a resolution of 5760x3240. I have (3) LG 27" IPS monitors.

Here is the link for the current build I am contemplating:

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

  • No Haswell build?
  • You don't need the water cooling unless you're going to do heavy overclocking. And even then, consider an air cooler like the Cooler Master 212.
  • And how soon is down the line? If it's within a year, then I would say go ahead and add another 760. If it's something like two years down the line, something better will come out by then that would perform as good as two of those cards for the same price (typically)

Hi. I agree with the previous poster in that you may want to consider going with the Haswell ( i7 4770k ). You can use this Motherboard which is the same price as the one you have listed : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813157371. The cooler ( Cooler Master 212 EVO ) is a very good cooler and would serve you well. Under load, there is only about a 4c to 6c difference in temp between the two. Other than that it looks good.
