So in a effort to prepare myself for BF4 and Destiny I would like to upgrade to a new computer. This computer will be used mostly for gaming with some internet surfing.

The computer I currently have is

Case - Rosewill Mid Tower Case
Motherboard - Biostar 1155 Board
CPU - Intel Core i3-2100 3.1
Video Card - 660 TI
Hard Drive -Western Digital 1TB
Ram - 8gb Corsair DDR3
Power Supply - 500w Corsair
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate

The computer I am thinking about upgrading to would be

Case - Corsair 200R - 60$
Motherboard - ASUS Z87-A LGA 1150 Intel Z87 - 149$
CPU - Intel Core i7-4770 Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 - 309$
Video Card - Asus GTX 770 - 409$
Hard Drive -Western Digital WD Black 1TB - 89$
Ram - CORSAIR XMS3 12GB (3 x 4GB) - 109$
Power Supply - Corsair 650W Modular - 90$
CD Drive - LITE-ON 24X DVD Writer - 25$
OS - Windows 7 Ultimate - I own it.
Total - 1,182$

I have some one that is willing to buy my current computer for 800 so I would just be paying the 400$ difference.

As the title says do you all think that it would be worth the upgrade. The goal is to play next gen games on high settings.

Or I forgot to scroll down further when I was looking at the post history.

Your grammar needs upgrading too.

sorry, when I noticed he had updated the post inbetween yours and mine so I didn't know what the original system was that you replied to, or if it was changed. I tried to delete my post, but the thunderstorm I am in took my internet down till I rebooted the the network. my grammer is just fine thank you.

$800 for a used computer? That's gotta be a profit. Good for you.

One thing: 12GB of RAM...does the board support tri-channel? If it has 4 slots, then it most likely is a dual channel board, so I would go with 8GB or take the plunge and do 16 (but 16 is really unnecessary based on the objective of the computer).

$400 to move from your old computer to the new one? It's a no brainer - not only will you see a difference, but you should be good on most games coming out in the near future.

Hope this helps.
