Wondering what you guys think of the new GeForce Experience application: Is it helpful or even necessary. What I've taken from the promotional literature is that it's intended to help people who love games but aren't technically savvy enough to set them up or even download drivers. Naturally, I figure I'm just missing an important part of the equation.

I didn't realize it was meant as a replacement for NVIDIA Update, which I've never used. I allowed it to install with my new 320-series drivers, but was a bit alarmed by the number of services it was installing. Color me old school for not wanting a lot of services running in the background. I've since uninstalled, as I can configure my own games and download drivers when I want.

what does your amd software have to do with nvidia software?

back to the subject, I tried it but it really does nothing that can't be done in whatever game your setting up in the game. only good thing is it will set up all the games it supports at the same time.

It does the same thing only they don't sh*t up your system with crap. That is what AMD is about.

I wouldn't use it to be honest. You shouldn't be afraid to tweak with the graphics settings in-game, as there's nothing you can do to royally screw up the game, you'll just have lower framerates. And it may just tweak the driver settings for your games so you don't have to use a global profile, but eh, I'm fine with how most games look anyway and some things in the driver are so subtle, you won't really notice it.
