Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Jon and while always having loved using computers, I am painfully inexperienced in building them. I know how it's done, and I've done a few for summer jobs at my uncle's work, but that is about as far as my experience goes. I can identify the major brands for most components, but know very little when it comes down to the nitty-gritty. So I come here, for your help and guidance for my very own first, personal build. I'm looking for a straight powerhouse PC that will dominate for the next couple years.

My uncle, who has been working with, repairing, and building PCs for the past 20 odd years has always told me that before you build your PC, you need to know what you want to run on it. Here are the programs i frequent, although it wont be limited to these alone:

Photoshop
Flash
Dreamweaver
After Effects
Sony Vegas
Rhinoceros
AutoCAD
Fraps
Guild Wars
Guild Wars 2
League of Legends
Minecraft
AND Battlefield 4 <--- omg looks amazing.

So, here are the builds:

Build 1: EXTREME (~$3296.15) Price Tag
CPU Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition ($1003)
MoBo Asus Rampage IV Extreme ($409)
RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb 2400 mhz ($269)
SSD OCZ Vertex 4 128GB ($120)
HDD Western Digital 1tb 10kRPM ($99)
VRAM EVGA GeForce GTX Titan 6gb ($1074)
Case BitFenix Shinobi XL (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($159)
Power Cooler Master V850 ($157)

For this one, I am fairly certain that I'll need water cooling, but i have less experience with water cooling than i do with building normal PCs. I could figure it out, but I have no idea what to buy and what 'brands' are reliable.

Build 2: POWERHOUSE ($1774)
CPU Intel Core i7-3770K ($300)
CPU FAN Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK ($80)
MoBo Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 ATX ($240)
RAM Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1600mhz ($114)
SSD OCZ Vertex 4 128GB ($120)
HDD Western Digital 1tb 10kRPM ($99)
VRAM Sapphire Vapor-X 6gb ($369)
Case BitFenix Shinobi XL (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($159)
Power Corsair HX850 ($150)

Pretty sure this build wont need water cooling, but hey, I'm not the subject-matter expert. You guys are.

My biggest questions are as follows:
A) Will the 3770K deliver enough power for all my programs?
B) Sapphire OR EVGA? Is the price gap only because of the name? Is EVGA THAT MUCH BETTER?
C) Is 6gb VRAM too much? I've read that its mostly for multi monitor setups, which I wont be using immediately, but i do plan on using it at some point.

If there is anything you need to know from me to give you better perspective, please ask away.

So, I've kind of solidified my buy order to the following:

Case: BitFenix Shinobi XL Window White
CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 115
Mobo: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77
HDD: Seagate Barrauda 2TB 7200RPM
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1600mhz
VRAM: EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN SuperClocked Signature 6GB
Power Supply: NZXT HALE90 V2 850W ATX

What do you all think?

Well I used PCpartPicker (which doesnt have the 4770K) to make sure that all the parts were compatible. The 4770K and Z87 Sabertooth is all I'd need to change, correct?
