what graphics card would be able to run most current games on max settings and have a high famerate?
I currently have a amd radeon 7450 with a 600 watt psu

GeForce GTX 670, GTX 770, or Radeon HD 7950, HD 7970. Either way, you're looking at spending over $350.

and all of those are powerful enough to run without any problems.
