I have an old mATX case from 2004. I am wondering if the mATX mobo standoff positions in the case will allow me to use a modern mATX case. It looks pretty standard and not some proprietary "Dell"-like setup. Here is the pic of the old mobo:

Here is what I am thinking of adding:

Looks the same to me. Just want to double check. Thanks

It looks like the three closest to the back will fit. I'm not sure about the ones closer to the front

So I did some measurments but using a different board this time. Looks like my old mobo is 9.6x9.6 and the new board is 9.6x8. So it's a bit smaller. Looks like the holes match up.

Anyone know if all the stand-off holes must be used on the motherboard? Will there be power problems if some are not used?

So long as at least one or two of the holes which are grounded are used for standoffs, you'll be fine.
My used orphan case came with an insufficient number of standoffs to be used for every mobo hole. If memory serves, I have maybe five standoffs, tops, in use, with two of them grounded. I've had no grounding problems at all with any mobo in this case as a result.
