I am building a new PC and am adding an SSD, finally, to one of my builds. I have a few criteria I want in an SSD: 1.) 500-512GB and 2.) >$400 before tax and shipping/handling fees. I looked at newegg for some comparative prices and found:
Samsung 840 Series 500GB at $375
Crucial M4 512GB at $400
OCZ Agility 3 480 at $370
Now newegg is offering a limited time offer of 20% off certain Samsung SSDs. The above Samsung and the Samsung 840 Pro 512GB with this discount. The 840 Pro would be $400 and the 840 would be $300. I am leaning towards the 840 (or 840 Pro if I can buy it before the sale ends) over the other two due to: OCZ's slightly smaller capacity and Crucial's slightly more expensive. Is there anything else with my criteria that I should look at or either of my options that would be better than the two I am considering?
