Over at the Logitech forums, I've read people with Logitech mice are having their DPI randomly change, because mouse buttons that are supposedly reconfigured by the driver software are reverting to factory behaviors. It's not just one model, but several, even the newest mice with the newest drivers.

Anyone here seeing this sort of behavior?

• I own a G400

• Windows 7 64-bit

• In the Logitech Gaming Software (lgs8.45.88_x64; problem happens with older versions, too), I have the three DPI and profile changing buttons assigned to PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, and CTRL-HOME keystrokes.

• Also in the Logitech Gaming Software, I set the mouse to have only ONE sensitivity level: 800 DPI.

• I have the factory Default Profile and one other profile that is set as both "Default" and "Persistent" in the Logitech Gaming Software.

• Regardless, the mouse randomly changes my DPI setting when I use the three reconfigured buttons.

• The "power drain" procedure prescribed by Logitech techs temporarily curbs this behavior, but it always comes back--and rather quickly, I should add.

• The DPI switching occurs all the time, not just when gaming.

• The random DPI switching is occurring with greater frequency.

• My G400 mouse is about one year old.

Problem is, most mice have poor sensors not suited for gaming. I don't know what to replace this G400 with.

I hope this helps, I unchecked Enable in the Game Detection options and my mouse stopped the same behavior your mouse is doing.
