About 10 years ago I snagged a Westinghouse 37" LCD monitor (no tuner) from Best Buy as an open box buy at a price I couldn't resist.
It has served me very well and given a little 'Wow' factor to my rig.
Alas, it is time to retire the panel as it's colors are starting to green out and there is noticeable flicker in the display. I was able to extend the life a bit using display calibration software but even that isn't cutting it anymore.
So I'm here to ask advice on a replacement.
I have a budget of ~$900.00
It doesn't have to be the same size, but I don't want to drop down to a sub 24"
I primarily develop on it - web and VB/C# .net
I do play a decent amount of games - Batman AA/AC, Crysis, Borderlands 2, etc etc
I might be interested in a two panel setup, depending on the size of the panels - and the final cost.
I've been running 1920x1080 since I got the Westinghouse (the max it would display) and have been happy with that.
I'd prefer shopping only at NewEgg as I have a credit with them to use up soon.
I was looking at the BOTB monitors, the Dell
looks great, but is a little more than i wanted to spend. The Asus has been discontinued at NewEgg.
