Help my computer freezes on me sometimes. Usually it happens whenever I am ripping a dvd via handbrake.

My specs are:
Processor: i7-3370k w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V
Memory: 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3
Video Care: EVGA Geoforce 260
Power Supply: Rosewill BRONZE Series RBR1000-M 1000W
Case: Thermaltake Soprano case.

P.S. My fan speed according to my bios are running under 1000 RPM (my case fans).

Any help would be appreciated.

If you go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System Events, do you have any errors that occur around the time the problem happens?

What am I looking for? I have a 3-year old power supply on the rig. Could the power supply be the issue?

It's doubtful that your PSU is at fault since it usually happens during your ripping of a DVD via Handbrake. You failed to mention the exact make and model of the optical drive you are using in this system, though. Can you provide this information, please?
