While AMD does have some decent options, I wouldn't say that FX4300 is one of them. the FX6300 is barely any more, and packs a lot more power. Priced to compete against the i3, it actually does favorably.
fx4300- 3.8-4.0GHz, 2x2MB L2, 4MB L3
fx6300- 3.5-4.1GHz, 3x2MB L2, 8MB L3
If you can't spare the $20 difference, cut the motherboard down from 990FX, to a 970.
That video card wont do much. I don't know the purpose of this build, so should I assume, gaming isn't a priority given that video card?
If it IS - a 650 is much more powerful.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127703
That one is $100 and has a $20 rebate.
For the memory - if you get the newegg deal of 15% off, making it $93.50 then great. If not, don't worry about 1866MHz memory. 1600MHz is fine, especially when you're not spending for performance CPU/GPU.
