Hi! I have been trying to get my Turtle Beach XP500 Headset to work with my M11x R3 and finally got it to work, and I started up RAGE and its sound was perfect then I loaded my last save and the audio quality went really bad. I quit to the main menu and it made a beeping sound like it does when I connect to a Bluetooth device and the audio quality went back to normal, loaded my save again and the quality dropped again. Really weird issue. If you can help me out I would appreciate it! Thanks! :)

Sounds like its dropping hsdpa (I think that's the protocal for multimedia) and falling back to 1.1 or mono-voice setting. This could be from the cpu or memory becomming overloaded. Hsdpa takes a fair bit of recorces even though it doesn't really need them.

Try playing music through it and then starting memtest or folding@home and see if it is doing it under a load..

OK! Will try! I have always had issues with Bluetooth. But if I use the built in speakers while gaming it goes fine.

OK so running a movie its fine. Playing a game it lowers quality. Playing a game with a headset plugged into the audio jack (non Bluetooth) it plays game audio fine. Weird issue. I had it working before but then I reinstalled Windows 7 and since then its had issues. I also downloaded the latest drivers for DELL 375 Bluetooth Adapter and it didn't fix it. Then on ANY computer Ive tried it on it sometimes gets very serious audio lag where a sound will play in the headset like 30 seconds after the fact. The only Bluetooth device it works decent on is my iPod then I use the 7.1 (came with the XP500) receiver on my desktop with it. So I have never had it work right with any bluetooth device other than iPod and PS Vita.

Sounds about right. For what ever reason I have always found bluetooth on computers to be a bit wonky. Perhaps others have never had an issue but I have yet to find one that works all the time. You could try and set the bluetooth process to high or realtime to see if that makes any difference. Although I'm going to bet it won't.

Find the process under task manager and right click on it. It will give you the choice to change the priority. Choose high or realtime.
