For nearly a month, I've noticed that prices are slowly creeping up for DDR3, esp. in the 2x8 segment, and most notably for tight 9-9-9-24 timings. DDR3 may continue to go up in price in 2013 as the big names contemplate shutting down manufacturing due to the fact that there is a glut of modules on the market now. So, if you're looking for more memory, I wouldn't wait too long. I'd bite when you find what you want.

Psssh. My ram is clocked at 3-2-2-6. Why would I care about the price of your crummy memory where 9-9-9-24 is a "good timing!"?

I'll take 16x transfer rates for what amounts to .265ns of extra latency.
