I hope you guys could critique my build. Main use is for photoshop and Lightroom. Editing photos.

CPU - ivy bridge i7 3770
Board - asrock lga 1155 z77 extreme 6
Ssd - Samsung 840 pro (2) 256
Memory - g skill ripjaw x series 4x4 ddr3 1600
Power supply is a old (5yrs) 850 w. I don't know if I could use it. So if you could suggest one.

I will probably use on board video for now. But will eventually get a new card. Right now I'm using a core duo 2 e2400 (something like that). I just really need the speed to take photos back and forth from Lightroom to photoshop.

Nice start. If no OC'ing is in your plans stick with 3770 but dial back the mobo esp. since dual gpu's are not in play. Something like the Pro4 or UDH3 would be a better fit for you. Luv the ssd choice, DIMMS are okay esp. when you factor in how cheap Ripjaws are, but for your Adobe work go 2x8 instead of 4x4. And wat is the make/model of your PSU? It will help dictate a replacement or not. What is your hhd solution?

Its a Silencer 750W (not 850 that I thought). I would like to add a better gpu card. I have a hold Nvidia 7600GT. I dont need SLI or Cross fire. But i will probably eventually buy a mid range card. As for HDD i have a WD 300gig. I dont store much. I still have 50gigs free on it. My main drive is just 40gig.
