It's HFS, HFS+, and HFS Journaled, but you get the idea.

Sir, if you want a Mac and a Windows partition on the same drive, bootable or not, of course, Windows itself won't let you access your Mac partition. Or at least until you find software for Windows that will allow you to access a Mac partition. Windows has no support for HFS, but if you buy and install
MacDrive, that's what I use for Mac file/folder access! Google "MacDrive" for me.

And of course, the opposite. If you run a Mac OS and your Windows NTFS partition does mount successfully in Finder, I learned that the partition and its files are accessible (most don't even require admin or elevated privileges!) but moving/changing/deleting these files are questionable.
