Looks like the LGA-2011 kit for my Tuniq won't arrive until Friday so almost a full week down on my best producer [crosses fingers] Should be able to pull the 460 tomorrow & checkout (& hopefully fix) the fan problem & at least get part of my production back.

put a drop of oil in the fan bearings, might go back to normal. my favorite oil for this is mobile 1, have even borrowed a drop from my dipstick once or twice.

I tried to get that going over the summer but only had one taker briefly. I have a passkey for her qualified for bonus, if anybody wants it

Fwiw I cranked up some extra cooling to squeeze an extra 3-5k ppd out of one of the two machines I've got still folding, hoping to at least slow you guys down on overtaking me before I hopefully get some new hardware at x-mas time. Budget's too tight to run the rig with the Phenom X6 1090T and GTX 260 right now though

It isn't luck buddy it's pure, non failing, (knock on wood) folding power...

Holy shit balls I did it!!!!

I use TwinCam Race Gel for most bearings. It's thin/lightweight like gun oil, but long lasting like motor oil, & has PTFE (generic Teflon) for maximum friction reduction.

Looks can be decieving... & main rig is still 'down' but running... GTX-460 downclocked & undervolted @ 600MHz Core / 850mv & temps are still hitting 90C on 7623, though the 80xx's were only hitting 77C at 775MHz core 1012mv... drop of oil didn't do anything

CPU is only running 3.2GHz @ 77C on the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme. Need that H100 replaced NOW so I can get back to 4.4GHz or better... But things should be a little different by end of the week
