I was looking at either Mushkin Hi Perf LII V2 2-2-2 or PDP with 2-3-2.
Ive read many reviews and I still dont have a clear answer about whats the best overclocking memory.
They say two brands with indentical specs but yet one of them will beat the pants off the other?
Or how retailers price their memory in very weird ways.
They price RAM with slower latenceys higher than they do faster ones.
The LII Mushkins will be the winner if we had a match up. But I've only seen people end up with results at just up to 250MHz, not matching OCZ's usual 260. In this case, the difference is that Mushkin uses Samsung TCCD chips, and PDP uses slightly
slower Liberty chips. TCCDs also take a lower voltage to hit high frequencies.
Lately, I've discovered that the difference in memory performance for sticks using Samsung TCCDs is the PCB design. Currently, the best is the Brain Power PCB which OCZ, PDP, G. Skill and maybe a few others use. (Here comes the research leeching!
Also can you explain to me what the difference is between these two is and why the price is different?Corsair 1Corsair 2
or why this one is more expensive then the other twoCosair 3
Is it because they are matched?
Arent the other sets matched too?
Sorry I only used Corsair, if that ruffles any feathers, but it was the only company I could use to clarify my question.
First two, they're the same, and it's priced according to the retailer. The third one, I can't explain. It's probably up to the retailer again.
Hehe... sorry if I took this one from yah One4!
