Maximum PC

This is probably one of the most common things that anyone will ever talk or rant about in a forum like this. I ordered a Mushkin PC3200 1GB DDR stick from NewEgg, and I paid to have it shipped to me in three days. Starting off with an exception: a late trailer?! Then my package got stuck in Atlanta for almost 24 hours straight! Finally, it showed up to my door. My question to you: have you ever dealt with late trailers and long delays like I did?! Were there times when you didn't get the delivery you paid out of your pocket for?!

that looks like three day to me. it is "three day shipping", this does not include processing the order. you say it sat there for 24 hours, but then it was delivered the same day as the end of that 24 hours. it got there, not in time to be loaded on that days delivery truck which was already out delivering, was loaded that night and delivered the next day. do not understand what your bitch is.

Actual shipping started on the 3rd and that doesn't really count as a day (that would be like saying 1-day shipping must happen on the day it shipped). Or rather, if they had 72 hours from 8:48PM on the third, they would have until 8:48PM on the 6th to be out for delivery. So yes, UPS was on time.

The order was processed on the 3rd, but UPS tried to flip the script by confusing me. What I did not understand was why it was already sitting in Edison, being ready for departure on the 2nd?! They did sneak in a 12/2 on my tracking log and expected my delivery on 12/5. And then the exception: the late trailer incident still bothered me and I had to wait an extra day. These are the things you have to watch out for, so that you can nail them for something they can't cover with a blanket.

Uh, 12/2 was a Sunday. Nobody was working that day. Also order processed doesn't mean "package is ready to go", it means "we acknowledge you want to send something"

Also that 12/2 may have been a goof. Why does the log start on 12/3?

really, and he is counting sunday, the day he ordered, as a shipping day, no shipper is open on sunday.

the entry on the 2nd, covers the charging of the credit card and approval of same, most likely it is automated on a sunday.

For the most part, you guys are right. It was last Friday when I did place the order. By the time everything was ready for processing and shipping, respectively, it was the weekend. UPS though could be a 24/7 business, but it would be crazy if that's true. Because if it is, then it's easy to work on a Sunday. My retail store I work at, is also open on a Sunday. I'm sure NewEgg, TigerDirect, and most online retail stores have their own physical business hours like a 9-5 weekday, and I'm saying "physical" meaning that someone has to be on the clock to verify and process incoming orders. When no one is around, then yes, all customers might have to go through a whole weekend in order to reach another business day, which orders are processed only during that point. And of course, these same retail stores have no control over how UPS/Fedex handle all their shipments. Ever wondered how lame it is to blame NewEgg for a late trailer or any other exception...?!

Because Monday, they need to get all priority orders out and they have two days of backlog to cover.
