Maximum PC

Given that the WIN8 OS was imminent, I purchaged an EOM version of WIN7 - 10% discount from NewEEgg.

My intent was to format the HDD on my work related laptop & install WIN7 Home Prem. Am I, perhaps, over looking a potential problem?

Although my second question probably belongs in a different forum, I am going to take a chance of offending the moderator. The financial software which I use recomments an Intel quad core, 2.8GHz CPU. Is a laptop with a 2.4 or 2.6GHz QM CPU with Turbo boost into the >3GHz range going to be sufficient?

There shouldn't be any problem. As for the software, those requirements are vague. So I don't think you should have a problem.
