would that show a decent increase in gaming performance?

right now im running..

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX
16gb ddr3 1600
ocz agility sata 3 230gb ssd
EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 560

i would be more than willing to upgrade to that if its the slowest part of my system and i would see a nice boost. im running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. but im willing to upgrade to 8 if it will show a performance increase.

There's no real performance gain. But I hear it's snappier.

Keep us posted...I'm eager to see what you think about the CPU (and Win 8 if you bought it)

I have to admit man. This processor is fast. any frame drops i was having at max settings are now gone. Seems like a great cpu for the money. i will post more later when i have had more time to feel it out.
