Maximum PC

I am currently looking to upgrade my GTX 275 in SLI to EVGA 04G-P4-2673-KR GeForce GTX 670 Superclocked+ w/Backplate 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 in SLI.
I am running a PC Power and Cooling 910. Do you think I would have to upgrade my power supply to run the GTX 670 in SLI?

Intel i7 920
12GB RAM
Samsund 830 - 256GB
EVGA GTX 275 x 2 in SLI Mode
WD - 1TB hard drive for storage

No, and you could probably add another one and still be fine.

so if I am not close then how do they figure power rating? I seen on the card it wanted atleast a 500watt minimum on the power supply. I found a power supply calculator
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and it says 760 recommend. If i switch it to register my old gtx 275 video cards it says 878. That must mean my gtx 275 are power hungry.

The recommended PSU set by the manufacturer is something that assumes two things:

• A fully loaded ATX system with high-end parts
• The computer running at 100% load.

This is mostly to cover their ass because they can't account for all system configurations (who can?), and you should always plan for worse case anyway. I'm pretty sure the website that does the power supply calculator does actual measurements, among other things.

From what I've seen in most configurations, people won't need in absolution more than 400W of power, even at full load. Even with two video cards (though it depends on the type).

Ok, Thanks. I seen the 500watt minimum and figured they both would need 500watts each. Gald I asked so now I know.
I did notice the calculator showed less power for the SLI gtx 670 compared to my gtx 275 in SLI. Must be the new technology using less power.
