 Post subject: My vizio speaker bar subwoofer question.

well i purchased this speaker bar.

it sounds pretty nice. I would like to add a sub, this sub.

I know nothing about this stuff. what do i need to make these two play nice.. also do you have any suggestions for any other subs that would work? also any cables or anything that you think i will need to by will you please let me know.

I apologies i have zero idea what you mean when you say that... why cant i just go from the speaker bar to the sub with a single sub wire like vizio says i can.. i dont get this.. i needs mah bass...

anyone wanna recommend a sub that will hook into my speaker bar? and all the stuff i need to do that.

I think you should go learn more about home theater speaker setups if you don't know what a receiver is.

The cheap (and probably less quality) method is just to use a Y breakout cable so you can split the output of the TV to the sub and the sound bar.

When I was looking into this stuff to tie together the 6 wall speakers in our house, I also had no clue. A receiver basically splits the audio from the source(TV, DVD, Blu-ray, CD players, etc) and sends it to the speakers and subs.

Shouldn't this topic be in the Multimedia Madhouse sub-forum?

all you would need to connect that sub to the sound bar is one male to male RCA cable. "sub out" on the sound bar to "line in" on the polk sub. set the sub crossover to 70 hz for a start.
