I think he's human but in league with an alien/supernatural organization that is similar to the Illuminati. Behind the scenes manipulators of the world.

If you talk to the Vorts/ use them, they talk a lot about how he saved them. besides, Gordon killed the Xen overseer, therefor freeing the Vortigaunt slaves. Everyone I've talked to on the Steam forums agrees on this...

If you remember the original halflife, the vortigaunts are actually fighting against you, because dr. breen knew he would be opening a dimensional portal to XEN to let vortiguants and any other nasties upon the earth.

Towards the end of Half Life 2, Dr. Breen is talking to an Alien MasterMind on the monitor. Vortiguants have becomes rebels against the combine, therby joining the cause of Gordon Freeman. But in the First Half-Life, the one eyed greenies were your enemies. Remember them shooting the elctricity at you? Now the use that energy in hl-2 for charging your suit.

Many NPC's can't be killed due to story constraints in HL2. Not being able to kill G-Man doesn't mean a thing. You can't kill Alyx, Eli, or any other resistance member for that matter.

i think it should be as realistic as possible
if u throw a box at someone they should say "BITCH PLEASE!" and throw it back at you
or at least get injured by it

Oh, I totally agree, unfortunately, the story of HL2 is too linear to allow you to just randomly kill NPC's like that.

Wow, thats...pretty brilliant. Really well fleshed out and everything. Who ever put this together has some serious attention to detail. We'll find out what happens in the next chapter of the saga...or an expansion pack possibly.

directed by mel gibson

gordon freeman: Jeff Goldblum - just has to grow a beard and will be good to go

G-man: Patrick stewart - needs to grow hair and will be good to go

evil mastermind: played by Mel Gibson of roadwarrior fame

dr. breen: played by Jonathan Frakes of star trek fame

scientist dude: Morgan Freeman of Morgan freeman fame(if you cant get jeff goldblum, then he can play gordon freeman because their names are similar therefore fit for the part)

Damn, Jeff Goldblume would make a damn skippy Gordon Freeman. You just better hope and pray they wouldn't cast Haley Barry for the roll of Alyx Vance and ruin everything! (All of the following is IMO)

Who could play Dr. Kleiner though? Maybe he could be the comic relief...Have him played by Drew Carey! Or for something less in your face, yet still funny, Kelsey Grammar (Frasier, Down Perescope)...

Barney should definitely be played by either Collin Ferell (SWAT, Phone Booth) or Ethan Hawke (Assault on Precinct 13)...maybe (if he can, i dunno, not suck) Ben Afleck (his only saving grace in my mind is Changing Lanes). (You may disagree with all three of those, just remember, with one of them cast as barney, it will be infinitely easier to get your gaming illiterate Girlfriend to come along). Maybe Hugh Jackman (Van Hellsing, Swordfish, X-Men)...

As far as Morgan Freeman (Shawshank Redemption) for Eli Vance, thats perfect! No way should he play gordon though.

I think G-Man (this would be interesting, to say the least) would be great cast as David Carradine (Bill from Kill Bill). He's got the perfect voice!

Alyx Vance could be played exceptionally well by Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill 1, Independence Day) or Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe from The Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions).

Dr. Motson immeditely jumped out at me as being played by Catherine Zeta Jones (Chicago) (I just can't trust that woman!).

Anyways, lets get more people to comment on ths, could make for good posting!

lol, thats ok, you were onto something. My buddies and I do this all the time. We look at things people could make a movie out of and figure out who's best for the roles. I got caught in a habit.
