Maximum PC

I'm looking for suggestions for a cooler for a i7-3770K processor. I plan on some moderate overclocking. I like the reviews of the Noctua NH-D14, but I am concerned about it's size and the ability to switch out ram (after the Noctua is installed) if necessary. Suggestions?

Yeah, it's kind of a monster isn't it? If you put the 2nd fan opposite the memory it might work, but no promises. It's still heavy which always bugs me too, so...how about it's predecessor NH-U12P SE2 which is smaller and performs very close to the NH-D14? I think the fans on the 14 are superior to the older 12's (by 10CFM and same dB), but the results of the two are so close that in the end it may not really matter.

There's also the much more affordable Coolermaster 212 Evo and the newer 612 that are still very respectable for the dollar. They're not pretty to look at, but they both function very well.

Thanks! I've read some reviews on the Coolermaster 212 suggesting it is a PITA to install. I haven't checked out either the NH-U12P SE2 or the Coolermaster 612 - I'll do so. Again, thanks!

It looks similar to the Xigmatek one I use, and if that's the case, the only real pain in the ass part is screwing it in, and you have to screw in the backplate with it.
