Joining the cause again, was out for a year or two due to real life things that were keeping me busy. Lost a brother to me(redbishopii), and joined the army in the meantime. Stationed in south korea now.
Rig just built,
2600k@4.2gz for the moment, still toying with how high i want to bring up the voltage.
16gb ram
Radeon 6950hd
Playing with this v7 folding client, seems pretty straight forward

Was very saddened to hear G passed, he was a great and eternally compassionate guy.

I stepped out for a while, myself. No one will fault you for it. It is definitely good to have you back.

Also, a recommendation from a vet: Do yourself a favor. Get off camp and away from the usual soldier hangouts once in a while. I knew too many soldiers who were upset about being overseas and never got out to experience the local cultures. Remember that some people pay tens of thousands of dollars to spend a few weeks in a place you get to visit for a longer time and get paid to do it.

Welcome back!

My unit spent time in Camp Muchuk outside of Pohang after both Team Spirit exercises we took part in. The ROK Marines taught us mountaineering skills while we were there and kicked our butts in a game that seems like a cross between tennis and soccer.

We were able to tour the DMZ the second time there. I could have spent six weeks studying that area and the history around it in school and wouldn't have retained as much as I did from a 1-2 hour visit to the place. Being there engages one like no other teaching method, at least for me.

Spent a little too much time in Pohang, though.

Im having a problem with my gpu, everything was fine and then it started artifacting, I restarted several times to no avail and turned it off over night. Nothing worked, then out of the blue yesterday it stopped artifacting. Any ideas guys? I game often but im afraid to fold on my gpu since that happened.

Yeah full_taoer those rok marines dont mess around when it comes to sports, that seems to be all they do sometimes hehe

My first action would be to re-seat the card in the slot and re-attach cables.

I would bake it, if you have access to an oven.

^^ Seems to be baked, Ill have to return it. Might aswell step it up to a 670 while im at it. Due to the fact that electricity isnt a problem, would a duel gpu card provide more ppd? Excluding the 690, not made of money.
