Maximum PC

So I'm looking at the EVGA GTX 680s on Newegg and saw there are like eight different flavors. Other than clock speeds (and price), why the heck are there so many flavors and what's the difference between these five?

Am I missing something or is the least expensive card the best?

Yes. Clock speed and extras. Some have a backplate while others do not.

Consider this a courtesy, and look a the specs next time, because it's pretty obvious what the differences are (Except the FTW version, had to look that one up). And if they are none and they're priced differently, then take the cheaper one, $20 isn't going to get you OMFG features at this tier.

Obviously I had looked at the specs and was trying to figure out why the EVGA Superclocked, Signature 2 02G-P4-2687-KR GeForce GTX 680 had the highest clock speeds, but the lowest price. I was also trying to figure out if it was worth spending the extra money to get a card that was in stock, or waiting for this card to come in. To my thinking, I'm better off waiting.

They may have been released at different times with different volumes.

No, it just depends on who you get. Sometimes you get me, where I don't spoon feed you the answers when I feel like it. And in this case, for the most part, it was clearly obvious what was different between the models.

LatiosXT is probably the most helpful person on these forums for the past few months. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. It's always fun when you try to help someone/give them some advice and they reply with an idiotic comment instead of just expanding on their original question.
