I'm looking for an analog 5.1 or greater headset to pair with my boss sound card. I'd be using this for gaming, music, movies, blah blah etc. The mic quality is important to me. I'm not expecting studio quality, but some of my purchases in recent years sound terrible compared to the mic on my trusty
Creative Fatal1ty cans. I'm currently flirting with the following:
Roccat Kave 5.1CM Storm SirusRazer TiamatSharkoon X-TaticAs of now, I'm leaning towards the Cooler Masters. I know I cannot use the "Tactical Shiznat Control Center" or whatever it's called with analog, but I'm not too concerned. My keyboard has volume controls so I can change settings in-game with no problems. I've waited for the cans from Razer, but the mic sounds awful. For the price, and Razer's reputation, I expected much better.
If there are any that I've missed, throw them into the mix as well. Thanks for your time.
Edit:
Added the Sharkoon set to the mix as well. I've never heard of this brand, so I'm a bit skeptical. It seems all the glowing reviews for it are from console users. I'm not trying to dismiss them, but anything is an upgrade over the 360 headset. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
