Faxion is to be released in two days.. it is a F2P "Full Featured" MMO (persistent world) and is about a war between heaven and hell in a tongue and cheek manner. I might try it out. They had a weapon called the "Bible Thumper" which was a bible tied to a stick.

Also, Everquest 2 has released Everquest Extended which is a F2P model and is very fun.

I am glad to see F2P games on Steam last week. i just heard about TF2 going free on steam recently, and hope even more people will play.

Black Prophecy was released in North America today. Sci-Fi MMO. Looks cool, installing it now.

DCUO is free now. It's pretty fun, and not that limited in what you can do.

lineage 2 is now free to play also

add hellgate:london to the free to play list the korean company who took it over is now running hellgate london as a on line only game for free or .. its free but they have micro sales ingame

team fortress classic 2 is now free by the way if you have steam.

Nice list!Classic games.I played with most of them.

If you have not played the first Mass Effect, I would advise you to play it. It maybe a dated game, but its a great storyline. Some of the game mechanics is very sluggish since its a console port and the graphics are very restrictive, but nonetheless a good game to follow up by ME2 and soon to be ME3. It makes a lot of the small stuff in ME2 make more sense.

There is an almost free game site, GOG.com, Good Old Games.

They take old games and recode them for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 [32-bit and 64-bit].

Actually, World of Tanks is free to play.

However, after tier 6 get your wallet out because high tier tanks lose a lot of money AND are expensive to purchase and upgrade components.

Tier 6 is probably my favorite tier. Most are fun and they are inexpensive enough to buy and play that you do not need to pay money, it will simply take you much longer to get to tier 6 and train your crew up.

I have thousands of games played in mid and lower tier tanks from WoT.

War Thunder is fun, however, World of Tanks is probably more fun, especially if you join a good clan, get yourself some speakers and microphone [or a headset] and chat with fellow clan members. You can also get fast advice this way, and learn how to play better.
