Maximum PC

Ok, I am a noob and I am trying to figure out how to create response files / iss files. I am trying to make a response file for Microsoft security essentials (again this is just so that I can learn). In the command prompt I run the command setup.exe -r . I ran through the installation and finish. I search for the iss file on my computer and I cannot find it. I think that it not even being created. I have tried setup.exe /r and setup.exe -record. I have tried using the setup.exe /r /f1 "C:" and it will not create the iss file.

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to install a program to create the iss file?
