Maximum PC

Here's my current setup:

Asus P8Z68-V LE Mobo (using onboard video at the moment)
i5-2500k
8gb Corsair Vengance DDR3 1600 ram
500w Antec Basiq PSU
LG 23" LED 1920x1080

I am looking for suggestions on 2 video cards.

first video card $300 or under
second video card $200 or under

First:
EVGA SC GTX560ti
This will give you an upgrade path to SLI.
Second:
GIGABYTE GTX 560
Still has an SLI upgrade path, but cheaper and weaker.
Others will give the AMD/ATI Radeon options.

As far as the AMD solution goes the price points offer good possibilities...

$300 will get you a used Radeon 6970HD with a 2GB frame buffer that will blow the doors off every other card (excluding the 6990HD and nvidia's GTX590, but those are $600 cards sooooo...)...

Ok so I've adjusted my budget. I'm mostly a console gaming guy but am interested in a few PC games. Right now I'm looking forward to The Old Republic and Diablo 3. I feel my build is a safe mid-range build and realistically don't need the premium specs. I don't feel the need to run ultra-high specs on games since my monitor resolution maxes at 1920x1080. I also strictly watch movies on my TV.

With that in mind, can you recommend a video card to fit a $150-$200 budget.

Are new cards coming out soon that will force a price drop on the current ones too? If so, I can surely wait since I will be tied up with Skyrim on the 360 and Skyward Sword on the Wii. Nonetheless suggestions on specs on a video card in my set price point would be very helpful! thanks!

I would go with the ASUS GTX 560.

I suggest the dual fan Radeon HD 6850.

I don't know much about Radeon but I'm very happy with my GTX560.

Good performance so should run most things well.

Mainstream Nvidia cards always seen good value for money.
