Would adding a 2nd video card to my system REALLY make a noticeable change in performance?? If I got one would it be just plug and play? If so, what would be your best recommendation?? Don't wanna just spend the most amount of money to get the top vid card out there, I'd want the best quality for the money.

Specs:

Win7 64-bit
Amd Phenom II X4 running at 3.6ghz
Asus M4A79 Deluxe Mobo
ATI Radeon 4890
8Gigs DDR-2 RAM

Well, you'd be hard pressed to find a 4890 these days. And they sell for about $200 on average, $130 if you're lucky, which you can get a decent DX11 card for that price.

Yeah, the turnover in electronic power is amazing. It's an HD card with a gig of it's own RAM sittin on it. It's barely 2 years old so in about one more year, I'll build a fresh new rig with SATA 6.0, USB 3.0 and such. They'll probably be onto SATA 12.0 by then, right?? I don't think the 4K series can do CrossfireX, no? I got the ASUS board that has the 790X chipset runnin on it.
