Specs:
CASE: Coolmaster HAF-X
MOTHERBOARD: Asus Z68 Deluxe
POWERSUPPLY: Cosair TX 850
VIDEO CARD: XFX 6870 Radeon HD
RAM: 16GB of G.Skill
SOUNDCARD:Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

My problem is that my monitor screen will stop receiving signal from my video card. My video card fan would run full blast. There would be no response when trying to reset or reboot computer. Then only way I can do is power down computer and turn on computer again. It's been happening more frequently this month. I happened before that... but rarely. I notice most of the time is when I come back from sleep. I've tried reinstalling video drivers but same problem. Checked memory. Is there any other suggestions to my problem? Any help will do. Thanks. :)

I assume your monitor is an LCD monitor. Is this correct? If so, how old is the monitor?

This is just a guess, but I think your monitor may have failing capacitors on its power supply board. For more information, check out this link: http://www.lcdalternatives.com/index.html

doubtful it's the monitor. I think I know why you would think so. I reread what I wrote. I meant to say my video card fan would run full blast and the monitor screen will go blank. Monitor would search for video signal but will not find one. Graphics card fan would keep running on full blast until I hard boot it. After rebooting it, everything works fine until the next time it does it again. I has happen more frequently this month.
