I had just recently bought parts for a new build. I didn't have enough money at the time to buy everything so i decided to put parts i didn't buy ,from my old one. Such as the graphics card ,hard drive, ram.Thats it the rest of the parts are brand new. So i put together the computer and everything was fine , after i had put all the components in, the motherboard lit up like its supposed to.Then i pressed the power button on the case and it started up fine , but with no boot screen. So i rechecked everything , checked the plugs once again and still nothing.I put in a different card from another computer i had and still no video. I know for a fact that everything is compatible. Iv messed with it for multiple hours and i cant figure it out.

sawyer, can you please provide some specifics (on both the old parts and the new parts in this particular build)? It might help us to determine the cause of your problem. BTW, welcome to the forums!

Well some of my old parts had failed. Thats why i decided to upgrade but the new motherboard is a crosshair 4 formula, the processer is a amd fx6100 which both are brand new. The old parts i brought over was a gts 450 cyclone graphics card, coolermaster 750w psu, a hard drive ( not sure about the info on that) and 4gb of corsair ram. This is all installed in a new 600t case

If you are getting no video on your new build, are you getting any beeps during the post that indicate any kind of memory errors? Try reseating your memory modules first. If that doesn't change anything, try running the new build with only one stick of memory (unless your 4 GB of memory is only one stick, that is) and see if that helps.

The FX6100 will only work with BIOS 3027, it is also listed on Asus' site as "Beta Support Only".

Some new ROG boards from Asus allow you to flash the BIOS with out a CPU installed, so you can run the newest CPU on an older board, not sure if this one does or not. The sure fire way is to get a lower end CPU that the board already supports (either borrow one, or buy one and return) flash the BIOS to the latest one, and install your new CPU. I am not sure if there is any other way.

Just a thought. Did u make sure that you mount the motherboard to the case correctly. Did u make sure you put screws on all the holes on the motherboard? My brother in law had the same problem you've described.
