i've had this problem for a long time and it STILL persists and wont go away no matter what i do
every time i use my pc, after a while or on rare occasions from the moment it boots, it has an issue with stuttering where eveything just... stutters, like when moving the mouse it has a lag like motion that happens and the cursor stops then skips a certain distance
also when this happens and any sort of audio is being played it makes sort of a buzzing sound, a bit of an electric shock like sound through my audio output (headphones or speakers)
it might be a small problem that happens every once in a while but it really stands out while gaming or video and music editing
and i'll also point out that sometimes i'll be browsing along the internet and everything is fine but when i begin watching a video on sites like youtube or vimeo it starts to happen
if that helps in any way

also my system specs are:

windows 7 pro 64-bit

i7 2600k
evga gtx 580 sc
gigabyte G1.sniper 2 motherboard
corsair vengeance 16 GB (4x4 GB) RAM
cooler master 1000w silent pro PSU
seagate barracuda LP 2 TB
an LG optical drive (not sure of the model but i never used it besides when installing my OS)

things i've attempted to try and solve the problem:

reinstall OS (2 times)
taking it apart and rebuilding from scratch
change my HDD, from my WD caviar black 2 TB because it was making a noticeable amount of noise that was louder than usual and thinking that was the problem
reinstalling OS (again)
messing with the bios (which only resulted in windows not booting and having to revert to fail-safe defaults)

i'm very desperate at this point and i can't live with this to the point ive been saving for a new build or possibly even a mac (since my primary use for my pc is content creation)
any help is appreciated, even if its a small suggestion
thank you :)

This probably belongs in the Free Clinic.

What you described could be a lot of different things but it sounds more like a software issue.

Are you using AV?

Drivers up to date?

I think I might try a cheap add in soundcard like the Xonar DG and if it still does it swap the MB for something different.

my current AV is MSE (micrsoft security essentials) and i dont think it could be the issue i've installed it on many laptops and never encountered any problems

all my drivers are up to date i believe

i'm willing to try any suggestions

but i'm not quite in a position to just buy components and test because i'm 15, living in the middle east, not only do i have to wait over a week for something to deliver to me from any online retailer but also this isnt my own money im spending and shipping to here costs alot

and to add another detail to the problem, everything right now goes smoothly, until the instant i load up a youtube video
i can browse facebook, maximumpc, twitter and use programs like after effects but the moment a video is added to that list it starts

which doesn't make sense because somedays this doesn't even happen at all and then it suddenly starts happening again

What network connection and sound card are you using?

If its the onboard go here and update drivers:

http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product ... id=3962#dl

Saw a lot of people saying the network card update worked for them...

Test your ping to youtube and post the results.

Are you running Folding at Home on this system?

Reason I ask is, after installing F@H my Win7 system started doing the same thing. Although it doesn't appear to be directly caused by F@H but rather indirectly, and other software could cause the same behavior. The root of the cause may actually be linked to DirectX 10, I was actually surprised to see that DX10 was installed with my Win7 installation instead of DX11. With DirectX upgraded to 11, no more stutter. ymmv

now the problem has gotten to the point where the stuttering feels like its happening more that once per second
it has never been this bad
and i cant access the internet whatsoever on it right now, im currently on my sisters macbook
im just going to leave it cool down and rest for a while

also i am not running folding at home
im pretty sure that i have dx11 installed because i used the Microsoft directX installer when i first built my pc and that in benchmarks and games i can use features such as tessellation

i've uninstalled MSE as my AV and i'm going to try something like AVG but i dont think that will help because the problem was still there even after uninstalling MSE
i've uninstalled i believe all the drivers that i got from the disk that came with the MB
and i'm going to get the latest updates as soon as it allows me to access the internet
and there is a built in bigfoot killer nic on the MB but i have a wireless cisco linksys card in one of the pci slots under my graphic card
which should i get the drivers for ?

also i cant help but feel this might be an electricity problem
maybe caused by not enough power being supplied to the PSU or maybe a 1000w power supply was a bit overkill or it might be faulty
also ive read that with most motherboards comes a seperator that you place between the MB and the case to stop shorting, and i dont have that ?

This is not a power issue or a problem with your power supply, it will either turn on or it wont.

Not a shorted motherboard issue either as you would find out pretty fast if that was the problem. There us usually a small rubber knob that will line up with your motherboard to help you line up the stand off screw holes.

I would try using a few different network interfaces and see if the issue is there with all of them to rule out the network. Use the newest driver you can find for each separately.

Also can you use something like speedfan to post up some system temps? Maybe you need some thermal paste or a reseat of your cpu cooler....

Same here, heck, I even had World of Warcraft Cataclysm setup to run as DX11, and yet when I ran dxdiag.exe it reported I was running DX10. It's definitely worth checking out.

@chaosdsm i just checked and i am for sure running dx11

@EchoFive i was stunned by what i just saw, i booted up my pc and going through the pain of navigating with the stuttering issue i opened up "speccy" and i was shocked by my cpu temps

its basically idling with just a window of chrome, with a single tab open, and speccy running and its going between 62-67 degrees celsius

and right now no web pages or anything related to the internet are loading at all

so i think at this point its narrowed down to my nic or something network related and my cpu or cpu cooler

and i have the stock cooler that comes with the processor, the rest of my temps are good, gpu 33 degrees, mobo 27 degrees, hdd 27 degrees

those are all the temps speccy shows

It was a long shot anyway but worth the check...

62 - 67 is within spec, but I hate seeing temps that high under heavy load, let alone at idle    That's why I always try to order an OEM processor & decent cooler, though I always seem to find use for retail coolers as cooling upgrades to someone's even crappier OEM cooler.

I doubt that it's a power issue, those usually manifest differently. Intermittent shut downs, individual pieces of hardware dissappearing from Windows, won't boot, hang durring boot, random BSOD's with varying problem codes, etc...

About as unlikely as the DirectX problem, but are your RAM timings set to SPD, Auto, or manually set? If manual or SPD, try changing to Auto, also check your RAM voltage setting. Most of the Vengeance kits require 1.5V but one kit (CMZ15GX3M4X1600C9G) only calls for 1.35V, check to make sure your motherboard isn't over or under the rated voltage for your RAM.
