I'm running Win XP Home SP3 and Windows Update via IE8.
I usually click on the "+" for each download item and visit the update's individual page to download the update and save it for future offline rebuilds in case of disaster. Later I'll go back and do the WU thing automatically.
One of the updates is on this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... n&id=29401I clicked on the download for x86 processors as I usually do.
Instead of launching IE's normal little download manager, Shareaza automatically launches and downloads the update to my desktop.
Other downloads work as normal with IE8. Putting the above link in Firefox starts FF's normal download box.
<sighs> Does anyone have any idea why that one link would launch Shareaza instead of IE's DL manager?
