I wouldn't get a zune hd I had one it only plays mp3 and wav. You would be better off with a Sansa clip+ since you can add micro SD cards to it to increase the storage space, as well as RockBox it.

Erm. It only supports WMA (all formats), AAC-LC, and MP3.

I'd look for something other than a Zune HD since Microsoft has given it the cold shoulder. There's nothing really special about it now. But if OP really wants to get one, I gave him a generic link.

Yeah that's right it doesn't even play .wav such a massive pita using wma lossless.

Why would you want to play WAV? FLAC or some other lossless codec would be a better choice.

In fact, I see no reason to play WAV unless you really need the performance (which is lolwut?) or you're so ass paranoid about "artifacts" from any compression method.

I do use .flac my point was it can't even do wav which is a direct conversion from flac you need the proprietary wma which is complete shit. Also .flac can be ripped without a lot of compression I have many quad channel and 5.1 .flacs that are over 2gb for an album, as well as some vinyl rips that are 1gb or more. But yes .flac support would be best, wav would be ok.
