Going to use it for gaming with a large (40"-42") tv/monitor.
Any and ALL constructive criticism with reasoning! is very welcomed.

The processor is overkill for this setup. Sorry, I will let the guys handle this one since I was just called on work.

1)What is your budget for this build?
2)Why a full tower case?
3)Are you going to overclock anything?
4)Why did you go for the components that you did?

AMD has been a hot topic of late here so have to ask if you have preferences to what brands you want to use for your build?

If you are building a system in the sub $1k range, check out some pre-built systems with lowered prices. You might be able to get more for your money going that route. A free Windows 7 OS OEM License normally comes with them too.

My only caveat with this is that make sure you get something that's reasonably "reliable" or has decent customer service. You get what you pay for is how the saying goes, and there's a reason why some "high performance" prebuilt machines are cheap. For example, and I don't know this first hand, I hear iBuyPower (or CyberPower or something, they tend to be featured on TigerDirect a lot) can get away with cheaper "high performance" rigs because their customer service is sorely lacking.

@r4zom You need to shrink the size of your image down it is breaking the tables. The other option is to add a link to the larger image so someone can view it in a larger format if they want to.

I agree with your second choice of processor here, but for the SSD I would get this Mushkin Chronos Enhanced 120GB Sure you loose 8GB of space, but its cheaper right now, a much faster drive, especially on write speeds, and it comes with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter.

In fact, I did get that Mushkin SSD (and am about to buy a second one for RAID-0), here is my current data on it: Windows 8 Preview 32bit edition installation completed in less than 8 minutes from USB thumb drive. From cold start up (i.e. PSU just plugged in after swapping parts) to surfing with Internet Explorer = 28 seconds after initial installation under Windows 8 default drivers.

Benchmark #'s all numbers are in MegaBytes per Second & rounded off to lowest whole number.
ATTO 2.46 - Avg read =481 - Max read =504
ATTO 2.46 - Avg Write =451 - Max Write =543

HDTach 3.0.4.0 (long test) - Burst =397
HDTach 3.0.4.0 (long test) - Avg Read =350

CrystalDisk 3.0.1 - 9 runs - 1000MB size
Seq Read =206 - Seq Write =123
512K Read =190 - 512K Write =123
4K Read =21 - 4K Write =90
4K QD32 Read =136 - 4K QD32 Write =119

CrystalDisk 3.0.1 - 9 runs - 4000MB size
Seq Read =205 - Seq Write =122
512K Read =188 - 512K Write =123
4K Read =17 - 4K Write =84
4K QD32 Read =127 - 4K QD32 Write =118

The CrystalDisk numbers look pretty bad, but they were more than double those numbers before I installed the AMD motherboard drivers, seems the default Windows 8 drivers may be better than AMD's latest... But oddly, with the AMD drivers in place, the computer is now ready to use from cold start in just 21 seconds.

Is this guy trolling? He only recommends AMD and now he is telling people to buy prebuilt... And no windows costs extra with Cyberpower and Ibuy and most of their warranties suck you are better off with the 2-3 year ones that come with the parts.

Anyway get this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150608 XFX 7850 it has a lifetime warranty
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820226191 You won't see any difference with 1866 ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115072 This processor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131781 This motherboard
http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-Inch- ... 321&sr=1-1 The same SSD except cheaper and don't waste money on that 2.5 to 3.5 thing you can just rest the ssd anywhere and screw it to anything there are no moving parts. Most people just drill holes in the standard HDD trays in the CM cases if there aren't holes already there (I think there are now). That will give you way better performance, AMD is like 3-4 years behind the curve. The one thing I would recommend doing is waiting until the middle of the month when Ivy bridge comes out. The processors will be the same price but they will perform better.
