OK. I am at a loss here as to what the part name is that I would even need to search for?!?
Background: I am converting an old laptop (Dell Inspiron 6000) into a digital picture frame. As such I would like to relocate the power button to the bottom of the frame. However, the laptop power button is a plug not a set of wires.
Required: I need to find an adopter that I can plug into the laptop board that can act as an extender to the power button piece.
Pictures always help....
This is the backside of the power button. I would need a 10-pin (very small) female adapter to fit into the male plug.

The opposite side of the adapter would need to plug into the male piece on the laptop board.

I am thinking the adapter would look something like this, 10 individual wires each with a male and female end....

I went to RadioShak and the kid had the most hilarious confused look on his face, needless to say he wasn't very helpful. If anyone has any idea on what I could use and where I might be able to obtain such an object, I would greatly appreciate the advice.
Thanks in advance.
