I had Firefox browser running on my laptop ACER ASPIRE 4830TG (with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit) while I was away.

30 minutes later I came back and saw black screen. The only information I remembered on the screen is "MAC Address (something like that) and cannot find any boot device, please insert boot-disk or press any key". I reset the laptop and everything is normal now.

Still I wonder if I can find out what's the cause of the error in Error Event Viewer? :?

Don't know what you mean by "reset my laptop" Did you reload windows?...if yes, the event viewer is now clean.

I restarted the laptop by holding down the power button.
Still, does event viewer record BSOD only ?

It logs lots of errors.

Go to start and type event viewer in the search box, then hit enter and the event viewer will appear. Double click on any error to find out more about the problem and then hit the help down at the bottom and it will take you to Microsoft for an explanation and fix...maybe.
