The new Kepler GPUs from NVidia are out as of today! They ought to be monsters.....

Well, though the Egg sent me that promo, it is not for sale right NOW, maybe later today, but not on their site at this moment nor on NV's site. I'm sure it has to be coming realllllllly soon though.

Two cards were available this morning $500 and $530 respectively.

I'd wait to see how they do, since Anandtech's compute benchmarks showed it lagging in some areas.

Plus the drivers will need to mature.

I'd seriously consider one if it gives >= 36k PPD @ <= 350 W (loaded). I'd consolidate 3 GPUs into one, basically. It's a bit more expensive than I'd prefer, but I'd be able to unload it easily later.

Looking at the numbers, it should do at least that (1500+ cores vs 500+ cores on a 580). Also, it looks like it will decently OC.

Apparently tiger direct had some MSi 680's this morning; my clan leader jumped the gun, but he could only order two. Trying to figure out where he can get two more. These things are selling like hot cakes, it should with the 499 price point. Crazy sick.

Yeah man, 1500 shaders should rock AND pulling only <300W at full tilt. That's worth it right there.

hehe, he might be able to get with his one 1500w psu instead of the second 800w for his current setup.

Seriously, I want to see 7 680's using liquid in one pc for folding. :mrgreen:
