Maximum PC

I'm sure that there are others giving this a try. So if someone has tips/tricks/ etc. how about sharing them.
I do have a question tight now. I opened the music app, now how do I close it? I see nothing obvious and I've tried several different keys like ESC, enter, tab, all the F keys and nothing I do gets me out of the app.

I am running Win 8 in a virtual computer using VirtualBox.

Edit: found the answer on my own. I drag the mouse cursor to bottom right corner and a small picture style menu opens. Click on the 'window pane' shape and get back to the start menu. I don't know why I had such a har time finding that. It's as obvious as the small mole on the back of your head covered up with your hair.

Alt+F4 didn't work?

What about Windows+Q?
I'd hate it if I couldn't close stuff with a key command.

Don't know if any of those work. There is nothing included to tell you how ot navigate around. You have to find it yourself somehow.

It is pretty easy to close a program, all you need to do is move your mouse up to the top of the screen, you will see that the open applications to the left of the screen, move your mouse to the right corner, and you will see [-] ([]) [x] and just click that x on which ever program you wish to close.

I still think the buttons should be visible...
I can just see my mom calling me in the middle of the night:
"How do I close this?"

Yeah the Alt+F4 works and so does just pressing the "Windows" button, which takes you out of the app to the main screen... But its really annoying, to say the least... More often than not, I find myself with too many apps open at any given time, hogging the system resources...

I really hate the new Windows system... It's going to fare worse than Vista if they don't fix those things... I like the new interface and designs etc, looks great on my 32-inch screen, but its taking a lot more clicks to get stuff done now, and it will be a matter of time before people get fed up of it.. Not everyone loves, or is savvy enough, to use keyboard shortcuts all the time.

Trying to shut the damn thing down itself takes a lot longer than any other version of Windows before. Another thing I noticed, once you shut it down, the screen turns off immediately, giving you the impression that it shut down very fast. But the hard disks keep running if you pay close attention. Its going to create problems if you turn the power off every time with the system still reading off of the disks.

I am using Win 8 since past 1 week. and alt+f4 works in win 8 consumer preview. and even windows+Q works fine.

I dont know why urs not working. i am using default style which is metro i think.
