When I got home my Office smelled like burnt wires, I searched the room but it seems like it may be comeing from my computer but, i opened the case and did not smell this.... I am concerned I googled it and it said maybe the power supply of my pc but I am on it now, if it was the PSU would I still be able to sit here and type this ???

Follow your nose. Find it.

Let me get this straight...you opened the case and did not smell this mystery smell from within your PC, so you go and google it, yet somehow convinced that the problem is your PC.

Let's hope the s/o doesn't get pregnant...

It may be the wiring in your walls that is melting down because you have to many demands on one socket.

Nasty

First of all, if the power supply blew, your PC would be rendered useless...

Second, airflow within the PSU would not expunge the "burnt smell" into the case; in fact it would just eject it outwards. The fan intake is from the inside of the PC (sometimes bottom of the case/outside) while the airflow goes out the back of the PSU.
