 Post subject: amd II x6 1055t core speed issue

i have a amd phenom II x6 1055t four cores run at 2.8 and 2 run at 800mhz.. my mother board is m4a79 xtd evo the bios is up to date everything is stock settings i have no idea what to change to fix this problem or if there is a problem any help whould be great

I think they have on-board instruction in the CPU to throttle down if a core is not being used. It is a power saving measure.

yeah its werid casue icant overclock those 2 800 mhz cores to match the rest of the cores with turbov

They turn on when needed...which is almost never.

Are you using win 7 or XP?

What does the bios read the cpu as...hex core or it doesn't know.

Is the motherboard an AM3 motherboard or AM2+ motherboard?

Did you update the bios?

win7 bios sees it as a 6 core and bio is current
