What AV app (or suite) are people running on their Windows Home Server boxes?

I'm trying to get some ideas. My biggest concern is viruses and outside attacks (Attacks from outside of my network, which the firewall on router and the one included in WHS should be able to stop pretty much most of them).

None. I don't use the WHS to browse from and the router and the L2 switch before it does well. Sure, if they want in bad enough they'll get in...but I'm not a target. As long as clients are covered by ESET, the server is just as protected.

The server is not out there like it's a common PC that's being used. It's job is inside this home and if you enable the HW firewall in the router and stay off using it as a usable computer...well, it's not targeted. Can you get something on day one? I guess...roll the bones. I just wouldn't pay to have the server covered by an AV or FW if you let it do it's thing. There's a separation of server and PC, and it warns you a lot about it...heed them.

I guess I'm at the point that you don't use the server as a PC or you get viri, and the client PC's should be protected. Protected clients will be just as safe as a server they're storing data to. Anything the server does over the internet, should have very tight security. Remoting in is not open to the interwebs. Stay in the dashboard, and all should be well.

why start a 2nd thread for this same topic when this has been solved in your other thread?

Right with ya Jbaz viewtopic.php?f=6&t=129238

The problem, IMO, is that the answer to the question is not liked. Ask again until what you hear fits what you want to hear ;)
