Does the version of Windows that you use to play Adobe Flash files affect the output? (Assuming that the hardware is the same for both configurations--so for example, if I have two identical PCs with the exact same specs--video card, memory, processor--except for the OSes being different, would one running Win7 play Adobe Flash any better than one running windows XP?)
I'm trying to re-use an older PC (that meets the minimum requirements to run Flash) to play internet video to my TV. The computer is capable of running Windows 7, Vista, or XP, but I want to use the OS that will produce the best playback experience.
or, if someone has an alternative to the Adobe Flash player that will work with YouTube and other sites, please let me know.
The computer is a P4, 2.8 GHz hyperthreaded, with 2GB of RAM, and has onboard video (128MB Intel 915G chipset). So this computer does meet the minimum requirements for both the OS and Adobe, but I"m concerned about the quality of video output between an XP install versus a Win7 32-bit install).
