I currently use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader for PDF's. I've read there are some better alternatives. What would you all recommend? I would like something that I could also save my forms too. I hate filling them out every time. The Adobe software just seems ridiculously priced.

I seem to remember cutepdf was pretty big a while back...

Just because of the way I am...Libre Office or Open Office will allow you to publish to a PDF as will setting up a Cups printer and sharing it out to do the same.

With the office apps in mind, I do believe Office 2007 and 2010 will allow you to print to PDF also.

I'll check out FoxIt, but it's still a stupid price if I want to save forms. I'm in the military and it would really help NOT to have to fill out stupid forms every time...

FoxIt is so 1992. Nothing beats Nitro, it reads and creates and is so silky smooth.

yeah I agree, I've been using Sumatra for a while and I like it. Very small program and opens up instantly. Really stripped down pdf viewer that's quite speedy and still has some features.
